Common Eligibility Test conducted by National Recruitment Agency is called NRA CET. This is computer-based online Common Eligibility Test for the recruitment of Non-Gazetted Posts in Central Government, Railways, Bank and Public Sector. Let’s know more about the NRA
NRA is the abbreviation of National Recruitment Agency. On 19th August 2020, Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for creation of National Recruitment Agency (NRA).
Now come to NRA CET
NRA will conduct Common Eligibility Test – (NRA CET) to screen candidates at the first level for SSC, RRBs and IBPS.
Common Eligibility Test of National Recruitment Agency NRA CET, is a computer based online exam to screen candidates at the first level for SSC, RRBs and IBPS. This test will replace the SSC Tier-1 Exam for CGL, CPO, CHSL etc. It will also conducted for screening of suitable candidate for Banking Recruitment Board (IBPS) and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Exams. Therefore, NRA CET will be preliminary in nature. Only those students who clear the Common Eligibility Test will be able to appear in the respective mains examination of SSC, RRB and IBPS.
Educational qualification for NRA CET
There will be three level of Exams for Graduate, 12th and 10th passes students:-
- Graduate
- Intermediate 10+2
- High School 10th
Number of attempts allowed
There is no bar on the number of attempts one can take for the exam, subject to the upper age limit prescribed in the notification.
NRA CET Exam Centres
Exam will be conducted at each and every district.
When will NRA CET be conducted?
NRA is expected to conduct Common Eligibility Test (CET) from September 2021 onwards” Union Minister of State (independent charge) Dr Jitendra Singh stated in Parliament on 21.09.2020.
How many CETs will NRA conduct?
NRA will conduct three CETs (Class 10, Class 12 and graduation) as per eligibility twice a year. Therefore, NRA will conduct 6 CET in a year.
How long NRA CET is Valid ?
NRA CET exam score of candidate shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of the result.
Is NRA CET is enough to qualify for the Govt Job ?
No, NRA CET is preliminary in nature. Only those students who clear the Common Eligibility Test will be able to appear in the respective mains examination of SSC, RRB and IBPS to qualify for the Govt jobs.
Is NRA CET will provide the Mock Test ?
Yes, Online Mock test will be provided by the NRA for the candidate. It will help to simulate the examination.
When the Syllabus and Exam Pattern of NRA will be declared ?
It is expected that Syllabus and Exam pattern of NRA CET will be declared in March – April 2021.
